Delicate and translucent fabrics meet soft and voluminous in a unique technique,
which deconstructs them and reassembles into new forms.
The emphasis is on different coatings, stains, polluting and braiding. Everything aims towards the disruption of the white. The muted colour blocks are broken by very delicate embroidery and beading in colours of dark red, turquoise, cream and black.
Czech traditional ornament was translated into laser engraving which gives it a modern touch.
The silhouette is voluminous, emphasising the work on gathering and volume making of the material treatments.
Special laser cut and coloured ruffs bring a decadent, yet very natural touch to the delicate and soft silhouettes.
Looking back to the roots of Czech culture and pulling narratives from the book of poems by Karel Jaromír Erben, the collection revisits forgotten traditions with their symbols and reinventing them in a fresh and relaxed form.
The omnipresent symbolism is transferred into the presence of many soft white shades, which is a colour of purity and innocence but also represents death and grief. The two worlds meet in a play of decomposition and pollution of the perfect and delicate white surfaces with artistic strokes of red and black.
