Personal project designing, printing, and distributing a limited boutique run of shirts
All made with as environmentally sustainable and socially responsible resources as possible, printed and embroidered right here in Boston by Lucky House MFG.
A few times a year I try to work on projects with my hands, moving boxes around, printing shirts, sewing tags, writing letters to place in order packages all help give me a break and allow me to create something just for me and share them with friends. They won't always be shirts, in fact likely I'll most likely try something new next, but it's a really good time focusing on slowing down and injecting quality and thoughtfulness into every inch of these projects.
Very limited supply available in the shop
• 100% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton Gildan Hammer shirts (WRAP Certified)
• Embroidery on front left chest
• Super soft (discharge process) ink on arms, back, and printed size/info tags
• Hand sewn hem tag on bottom right
• Enamel pin made in the U$ with super secure backings so pins don’t fall off anymore. Backings made and sold by a veteran owned US metalworking company
• Free US shipping, cheap as possible international
Working with Lucky House MFG
Josh & Jill over at Lucky House in Somerville, MA opened their doors to my idea and embraced every tiny silly detail I wanted to push into this project. Being a couple of vegan punks from Austin that recently moved up and were focusing on boutique projects with and eco friendly process I was just overjoyed to have gotten a chance to befriend them.
Discharge printing uses a chemical reaction that removes pigment from the cotton and exchanges it with the graphic, leaving behind a super soft feel
Sewing the hem tags onto shirts. These are last fall's shirts, but same process ;)
