ABSTRACT
Design a poster for the Charlotte Pride Band concert 80s To The Max. The concept is designers choice, but the overall theme must be 1980s.
INSPIRATION
I absolutely love everything colorful and tacky about the 1980s. My only regret was that I was born two years too late (1991). I knew from the start I wanted this poster to have an 80s neon noir feel so I did some research and pulled from some of my favorite 1980s posters.
THE PROCESS
I sketched a basic layout of what I wanted on paper. The incorporation of the triangle served two purposes, the first incorporating aesthetic unity and a directional source to the secondary information (the date), and the second being the symbolic reference to the LGBT community.
