Media Design Practices
This is a project designed in MOE workshop which aims to explore ways of expressing complex ideas across a variety of media types and the topic is a map ranging from dorm to classroom. Media type could be print, motion and 3D objects.
The second part of the workshop lasted for 5 days and was extremely challenging, so in my experience, the way from dorm to classroom or from classroom to dorm was nervous and rushed. By observing my feeling and my physical reactions, I visualized the five-day changing of my EKG and the tempo of my footsteps to express my mood, and printed on five celluloid plastic sheets. To strengthen the atmosphere, I made the a short motion graphic with sound of heartbeats, footsteps and printer. Due to the limitation of time and material, I rotate the laptop and put the wood board attaching with the plastic sheets on top of it to make it a video installation.
