Since March 4th is Sydney Opera House's annual All About Women conference, we wanted to look back on last year, when Webuyyourkids designed these two pieces for an IdeasAtTheHouse essay titled 'Girls on Film: Six films from the 80’s that taught me about being a woman'.
Webuyyourkids's artwork makes subtle references to film posters of the 80s, while it was shaped around three themes woven into the essay: Representation - seeing yourself in the women on screen; Life lessons - the power of stories in films to educate; and Enlightenment - using film to put a spotlight on important or universal ideas.
This was just one of a number of essays accompanied by artwork from women in the Jacky Winter roster.
