[Competition Entry] Revitalizing Arab El Husn Slums.

Built upon the existing grid, our concept in to achieve a modular and a sustainable solution. It fulfills the basic needs of a diverse community, creating a respectful relation with the existing site characteristics, monuments and reserving the sentimental graveyard.

A green path is formed that links "Souq elKhameis", the obelisk, the mosque, the entertainment zone and the modular housing unit.

"Our methodology in approaching the slums is through a flexible and an adaptable way of thinking, it reflects clearly in the modular housing system as it adjusts to different needs, spaces and family sizes. It is capable of expanding or shrinking accordingly."
