Feet on molten and flowing pedestal add surrealistic dimension to the sculpture holding suffering and serenity together. The nice, smooth and effeminate demeanour of the feet stands for a celestial face without furrows and contours. Still the stress of the person is delicately reflected in the toes. The bleeding pedestal juxtaposes the intended aesthetic appeal of the feet with the ugliness of interrupted solidarity. The motion that is taken away from the postured feet is ironically released in the dynamic base. The sculpture attempts a paradoxical and dialectical representation of life and death, the life of labour and ease as their dynamic and frozen states in the very process of being put together acquire the form of art.
