Graphic novel 'Swimming with sharks'
Graphic novel and short, visual version of the best-selling book 'Swimming with sharks' and approved by its author, Joris Luyendijk. This Dutch anthropologist and journalist for The Guardian newspaper, spent two years in the city of London. He spoke with 200 bankers to find out how they operate and what drove the financial crisis in 2008. His conclusion: bankers did not have to break any laws to cause the crisis. The vast majority didn’t have anything to do with the financial crash and to this day the mechanisms that caused it haven’t changed structurally. Could it happen again? What are these mechanisms and how should they be re-built?
