Bento in Japanese means lunchbox. It is a very important part of east asian traditional life style. Instead eating outside everyday, people prepare their lunch the night before and pack into boxes like this which not only saves a lot money, but also provides more choices that better serves the need. Obento is inspired by the oval Shakers box abd optimised the form. It is slightly different from the traditional bento box wich Obento has two layers seperating dry (such as rice or bread) and wet (such as soup or sause) food so that everything could be packed in the same box.
