This was made for a design class. I created a branding system for a fictional organization called Samsara. Samsara is a sanskrit word which means wandering in the sense of traveling the world. Samsara’s goal is to help educate exiled Tibetan Buddhists about their culture and heritage. The brochure I designed is a piece of educational material that can be handed out at cultural fairs or given to schools.
I decided to go with a font made out of multiple parts, because that fits well into the Tibetan Buddhist philosophy that we are all just parts of a whole. That is also the reason I made the wild poster mandala out of monks. Individual pieces create a larger whole.
My color scheme is drawn from the vibrant colors used in sand mandalas.
