Nautilus Editorial
Nautilus is a different kind of science magazine. They deliver big-picture science by reporting on a single topic from multiple perspectives. I was responsible for asset production of articles, such as creating original editorial illustrations, image sourcing / manipulation, and other graphic assets for both the print and web edition of the magazine. I also create motion graphics for the digital subscription, the website and the weekly newsletters. The visuals include a variety of storytelling tools such as type-based visuals, data visualization, collages, charts and graphs.

In this article, as the title suggests, the moon has now become another source of money. The challenge was to convey the idea of dollar bills beyond the obvious visual cues such as dollar bills and the color green. The Nautilus office is in the heart of the financial district in New York, in fact right opposite the Charging Bull. What better way to convey money than through stock lines, graphs, arrows and numbers?
