Alcateias do Grupo Tiradentes
O desafio era criar três identidades únicas, uma para cada alcateia, mas que juntas ficassem coesas, uma vez que ainda pertencem ao mesmo grupo.
The challenge was to create three unique identities, one for each pack, but that together they were cohesive, since they still belong to the same group.
Dentro do movimento escoteiro, uma alcateia é um grupo pertencente ao ramo lobo, de até vinte e quatro crianças, entre 7 e 10 anos, e cinco chefes escoteiros responsáveis. Um grupo pode possuir mais de uma alcateia e cada uma funcionará de maneira independente. No caso, o grupo Escoteiro Tiradentes de Bauru possui 3 alcateias.
In Scout Movement, a pack is a group of wolf cub kids with twenty-four children betwen seven and ten years and five chief scouts. A Scout group may have more than one pack and each one may function independently. In the case, the group Escoteiro Tiradentes de Bauru has 3 packs.
A cor amarela é a cor que representa o ramo lobo. Esse ramo também é o único ramo escoteiro que possui um uniforme de cor diferente, o azul marinho, e essas foram as escolhas para a paleta de cores da identidade visual.
Yellow is the color representing the wolf cub. They're also the only scout program that has a different uniform color, the navy blue, and these were the choices for the color palette of the visual identity.
Os nomes das alcateias são votados e sugeridos pelas próprias crianças. Meu trabalho foi representar a ideia de forma simples para que elas pudessem associar rapidamente, usando de símbolos conhecidos por elas dentro do movimento. A "Lobinhos em Ação" é a mais recente do grupo, e como o próprio nome sugere, são crianças muito ativas, por isso a escolha do lobo uivando para representá-los. "Melhor Possível" também é o lema do lobinho, cujo sinal são os dedos indicador e médio esticados e os outros dobrados e a mão posicionada ao lado do boné. Para a associação rápida e direta das crianças optei por usar o próprio sinal como logo. Já a alcateia Waiganga leva o nome de um rio indiano, cenário de muitas das histórias de Rudyard Kipling em seu Livro da Selva, muito usado pelos chefes escoteiros como base para as atividades desenvolvidas com as crianças.
The pack names are voted and suggested by the children themselves. My job was to represent the idea in a simple way so that they could quickly associate, using symbols known to them within the movement. "Wolf Cubs in Action" is the newest in the group, and as the name says, are very active kids, thats why they symbol is a howling wolf."Do Your Best" is also the motto of the wolf cubs, whose sign is the index and middle fingers stretched and the others folded and the hand positioned next to the cap. For the quick and direct association of the children I chose to use the signal itself as a logo. And the "Waiganga" pack is named after an Indian river, the setting for many of Rudyard Kipling's stories in his Jungle Book, which is widely used by Scout chiefs as a basis for activities with children.
