Zaitcev blouse.

Cotton satin dyed black. chest, sleeves and hood are smocked without order.

The hood is sewn on along the neck and shoulder seams, so it falls loosely around the face.

On the front are two pockets, angled from the side of the bust to the center front,with the openings facing each other. The bodice darts are also along the angled line.

The right side seam and shoulder seam have a zipper, both which open toward the sleeve.

The inspiration was the photos on the project cover by photographer Igor Zaitcev.

Half size dress form draping, and illustrated sketches with a material test and stages of a small toile.

I wanted to make a garment that played with shadows in a similar way to some of Zaitcev's photos.
