I completed these two visuals as part of the application process for a part time graphic design position for the Kansas City Chiefs.
I chose to create an infographic to visually represent Kareem Hunt as AFC West Rookie of the Year. As this infographic would be sent out on social media platforms, I chose to appeal stylistically to sports lovers who also follow sports broadcasters and other teams on social media. My target audience is familiar with the combination of action shots paired with statistics. I designed the infographic to be eye catching and easy to understand.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a very loyal fan base. I wanted to create a billboard design that would appeal specifically to the Chiefs Kingdom, but could also appeal to other sports fans on the road. I wanted to highlight the energy and electricity fans experience while watching the Chiefs, this energy is visually represented by the sparks and lights that seem to make the player move towards the text. I chose to use a photo that represents motion and the formation of the text echos that same motion. I kept it simple with easy to read text, knowing that viewers might only see the design for 5-10 seconds.
