Reflections:

The Workshop With Earl was not what I was expecting it to be. I thought it would be a hands on workshop were we get to experience ourselves working under a Company, or watch some of his works (which he did). However, when Earl spoke about his journey to accomplish his dreams and work. I was amazed and I learned so many. But, the one thing that has been set and glued in my mind was this Quote-"The Moment you compare yourself to another individual. You have already lost.". But Overall, it was still great for Earl to come to our school and teach us the ways of Walking our own Journey in the Media Industries.

Reflection:

The Workshop or Public Interview with Phyllis Laing was Honestly great and educational. And I dont only mean the "How to create and run your own Business Production". But the " How you can become anything you want to be , no matter what your place is in society", which really got me interested in the Interview. It gave me the Courage to Pursue even further in the Animation Industries. And Yes, Phyllis Advise of running and creating a Business was helpful for me. How you must handle the responsibilities and stress of being the president of the Company.

Reflection:

This has got to be the most greatest hands on Workshop I have ever been on. I get to learn the basics of being a special effects make-up artist, from creating layers of latex to make up. This has overall have been the most gruesome workshop I have ever been into. And so we give Doug Morrow another thanks for bringing us Sisler students, the fun and painful experience of being a special effects make-up artist.

Reflection:

My experience in this Workshop was fun. We get to experience a little bit about working with another individual who has another and different idea from yourself.
But other than the fun drawing activities, the one thing that I loved the most was when I showed my Ideas to her. She loved and admired my Ideas how I started them off. This appreciation gave me more courage to go on furthermore into what I will do in the Future. She gave me great feedbacks and suggestions which I will keep in my mind and whenever I create a story. I thank you again Kim Burns for the great workshop and feedbacks. we hope to see you again someday.

The workshop was really helpful in some ways. Even though Hesham had nothing to present ( we already looked at his demo reel), he still told as a long valuable story about his journey to the Film Industry. His story did give some tips and helpful advice's and where I should be going in my own path to my future.

Developed Question:
- In your journey to the industry, there is a point where we make a choice, were we have to tell our dreams and plans to our parents. My question is, How did you deal with that situation were your parents judged your choice and decided that something else is better for you? I asked, and it has been answered.
- What was your experiences in VFS so far? What challenges did you face?
I asked and it has been answered.
Reflection:

The workshop was by far the coolest ways of learning this new application called Nuke. Although the first day was talk and interview, I still learnt some valuable lessons when it came to time limits in producing a project, properly scheduling our Milestone, and How to deal with Parents who wants you to become someone else. The second day was little talk and workshop. This day gave us the experience in how life goes in VFS. The workshop was great. We get to learn the fundemental basics of VFX by using Nuke, we simply(not really, we struggled bad to process the work.) removed the original BG of a person and placed him in a new room by manipulating the blue screen. Overall, this Workshop has been great and very educational so far. So I thank you for giving us your time, and we hope to see you again someday.

- What was your memorable moments, working with Pixar? Did not asked. But it was somehow answered.
- What is your Motivation when time gets rough? Did not asked. But has been answered.
Reflection:

The Interview was very Interesting and is very full of advises for those who wants to start their own studio and Movies. Dr. Levy told us a wonderful story of his experience in working with Pixar as their CFO and along with this is the fact that he worked with Steve Jobs. At first I asked myself when he mentioned Steve Jobs past Failures, as to why would Levy accept the offer for the position. Until I realize that sometimes being naive could lead you to transforming something bad to good. All the experience Levy said was amazing and has really caught my ears. But what really got my ears open was his Word of Wisdoms for those who asked the questions, the answer he gave was very memorable for me to keep as I too plan on creating my own Studio. Overall, It was a great Interview, that gave me the chance to test my Communication and Greeting skills. Again, I thank and We, Sisler High School, thank you for coming and giving us such a wonderful time of advises and stories.
DOT University of Cambridge: Workshop
(Day 1): Today's UoC Workshop, we are to focus and study on people who have Alzheimers, and disability in Dexterity and Vision, and how we can make their daily routine a better tomorrow. By changing the models or creating new Ideas, which will help those who are struggling with certain things like cutting an object or drawing. Today, we focused on how people process the making of Tea and how someone would put a salt on the shaker. we sisler students are to brainstorm an Idea as to how our Imagination, could help create a better way for elders to pour a boiling water in their cup. The other activity was experiencing a disabled person who has vision and dexterity loss. We are grouped up and one student must try the gloves, which helps us experience dexterity. and must try on 2 blurred 3D glasses, to show how a person who has vision loss, sees things their way. And we had to make the volunteer  read a made up map.
Photos of Day 1:
Reflection:

Day 1's Workshop was a good way to experience vision loss and dexterity. However for me its the Vision Loss only. Because, we had another student do all of it at once. So for me I only watch and helped the others Test the student wearing the gloves and Glasses. Overall, it was just a lesson of how people process the making of Tea and refilling Salt and Pepper Shakers.
(Day 2): Today, we sisler students have drawn and improved a salt and pepper shaker and a chair, by using our Imagination and our wacky, crazy and yet Creative Ideas.
Photos of Day 2:
Reflection:

The workshop today was a great opportunity to test my Ideas on re creating a salt and pepper shaker. I made a model of the shaker on top of the photos, and I also made a concept of my very own, all terrain wheeled chair that can transform into a speed boat.
(Day 3): Today we are to properly follow the process of inventing, by creating 5-6 concept ideas of a salt and pepper shaker. Then we must choose out of six as to which is better. Then we make a good copy of the concept.
Photos of Day 3:
Reflection:

Today, we have taken the next step to inventing, by learning the 3 steps of inventing. All we did was create new Ideas for a salt and pepper shaker and then we make a good copy of it. We (Me, Matthew and Liam) have created a salt and pepper dispenser.  This machine is powered by an AI (not Siri) that can help and support anybody that is having troubles with sprinkling the right amount of salt or pepper in their food. Although we ran out of time, we did created something interesting, rather big really.
(Day 4): Today we continued our work from yesterday, which was completing the good copy of the Salt and Pepper Dispenser.
Photos of Day 4:
Reflection:

Me, Matthew and Liam, have suggested to put some few details to the Dispenser for Improvements. Such as, using rubber for the handle and Mat to give the user a better grip and perfectly station the plate on the base. We also listed down the material of what the machine will be made out of, and we also located where the Scanner or Sensor will be placed at. So far we have looked at the possibilities of any flaw and well they are some but so far its good. We then decided to  create a functional model to test it out. We had people look at it and they said it was cool. They were Feedback's that concerned us though with the Model, which was the Size. So I thought of a way to improve it. I decided that the machine would have a mass extension. With this the user can shrink the machine and can carry it lightly.
(Day 5): Today is just the continuation of Yesterdays Workshop. But, we have 20 minutes left to finish the remaining touches of the models.
Photos of Day 5:
Reflection:

Today, Me and my group have just finished the last remaining Pieces that needs to be placed and have created the full and well improved (Maybe), "Salt and Pepper Dispenser 2000". The Photos above will show the model made.
