Emma Jenkins Branding
Branding for Emma Jenkins (IG: 1corinthians13_love)
This branding was created for Emma Jenkins for an event at Building Church. The branding was sent to Emma Jenkins for her optional continued use after the event.

I was intentional about every element of Emma's branding; Emma is an encouraging religious personality on social media so every element has a Biblical meaning, as outlined below.

The crown surrounding Emma's name is made of Spikenard, Hyssop, and Willow.
These plants were selected for their Biblical and symbolic nature.

SPIKENARD, sometimes also referred to as "nard", was a highly valued and very expensive perfume in Biblical times (Mark 14:3, John 12:3-5). Particularly this was the perfume utilized by Mary to anoint Jesus' feet when she washed his feet with her tears and perfume prior to Passover in John 12:3 (ESV).
Symbolic significance: Mary displayed a devoted and affectionate humility when she anointed Jesus' feet and washed them with her tears and hair. The spikenard serves as a symbolic reminder to sit at Jesus' feet and listen as Mary made a habit of (Luke 10:39), and to be intentional about being humble and loving to the world around us.

HYSSOP was referred to by David in the Psalms as the herb used in purification.
Psalm 51: 6-8 (MEV)
Symbolic significance: Hyssop has medicinal purposes of healing wounds. The hyssop serves as a reminder that Jesus heals us from our past and our mistakes and loves us unconditionally.

WILLOW is associated with a river or waterbody - a constant source of nourishment. As demonstrated in Isaiah 44:4, willow is a symbol of vigor, growth, and reliance on the water.
Isaiah 44:4 (NLT)
Symbolic significance: Just as the willow relies on the river, we rely on Jesus - the source of living water. We thrive when we lean into Jesus and rely on Him.

CROWN - The selected herbs are arranged in a crown as a symbol of our heritage in Christ. We are sons and daughters of King of Kings. (John 1:12 ESV

PURPLE - the select application of purple is a hint towards the beauty of hyssop while also being a nod towards the color of royalty. (Judges 8:26, Esther 8:15)

HAND LETTERING - the use of a script hand-style font is to allude to the uniqueness of each person and to celebrate how God knit us together in our mother's womb intentionally and without mistake. (Psalm 139: 13-14 ESV)
