Now That We Found Love '12" Vinyl' | Packaging Design

This project that began in early February was based around the idea of creating a redesigned version of the vinyl sleeve packaging for the song Now That We Found Love by Heavy D & the Boyz by the way of incorporating an illustration-induced style that would combine shapes, as well as serif and sans-serif fonts, and lighting effects that all-in-all present a more modern minimalistic outcome.

As you will see, both textures and effects have been kept to a minimum in order to help prevent the overall design from looking too generic or dated, considering the fact that the song itself is from an older era.

For the display mockup, much like the Lance Vance Dance project, I wanted to place the final outcomes against a background that would blend in seamlessly with the “visual preferences” of the designs themselves, so that both parts do not feel isolated or not in conjunction with each other.
