The Greater Festa de Gràcia, in the district of Gràcia de Barcelona, begins in 1817, on the occasion of the Day of the Assumption of the Virgin (August 15).
200 years later, in 2017, celebrates the bicentenary of what has ended up becoming the Festa Major as it is now known.
This celebration, thanks to its garments and the untiring work of generations and generations of garners, has been called "Patrimonio Festivo, Fiesta Tradicional de Interés Nacional y Creu de San Jordi".
