1. Earl cabuhat Was born in winnipeg, manitoba. Earl is a worker at CBC doing their motion graphics. He is interested in becoming an Animator. Earl went to Red river college and Robertson college for school.

2. Phyllis laing is a very successful person. she was born just outside of winnipeg. Phyllis created a company called buffalo gals in 1994 it was cretaed before then but with a different name. Buffalo gals is a production company that has worked on many different movies and has been working on many recently, they have worked on some big movies such as Hyena road and Sunnyside.

Workshop 3 - with Doug morrow
Doug morrow was born in winnipeg. Doug is a make up artist who has worked on the make up in multiple movies such as Godzilla, whiteout and reindeer games as well as multiple chuck movies. He was awarded the Canadian screen award for best achievment in makeup.

Workshop 4 - With Kim burns (concept art)
Kim first studied psychology in university and was working in real estate before she decided to go in the art industry and going to Vancouver film school.
Kim just recently graduated from Vancouver film school and has been a teachers assistant there. She is a concept artist who has been creating a story for children. She was born in vancouver. She showed us some of her work on the story she was creating and gave us some knowledge on shape language and creating different buildings and their shapes. We did a Drawing of different buldings and then added some details unto them which was part of an activity as we had so much time to add details until we had to pass the drawing on. We then did some other drawing of characters just by asking questions about their features and characteristics and adding each one. At the end some of us showed her some of our work from school and or personal work.

Reflection:

When we met Kim burns i thought this would be a great oppertunity to show my story and characters to her. When i did i got some great feedback from her about my characters shape and design. She showed me how to start creating good concepts for characters in a story. When we did our art work practice in class it helped me as well to give me some good ideas for my story. The practice work we did also helped me develop concepts for my story.
Workshop 5 - Hesham Hammound
Hesham was born in ottawa. He is an actor and VFX artist who has worked on movies such as X-men apocalypse, prison  break, almost human and other shows and movies as well. He recieved an honors degree in IT - interactive multimedia design at carelton university. In 2011 he moved to vancouver to go to vancouver film school to take the 3D animation and visual effects class. He there decided to go into acting. He went into acting by starting as an extra on shows and movies in vancouver then trained as an actor soon after signing an agent.
Questions:
Why did you decide to be an actor and do visual effects ?
Answer: He started doing vfx then decided to become an actor after so he can do both.
When did you decide you wanted to be an actor?
Answer: When he started as an extra when he was unemployed.
When doing a demo reel should you put animation and vfx as an example together or seperate?
Answer: Choose to do just one, either animation or Vfx and make your demo reel of just one.

Workshop 6 - Melissa Best
Melissa was born in winnipeg in 1980. Melissa is a VFX artist and a teacher at vancouver film school. Melissa first learned about VFX while going to high school and later enrolled in  a multi media class and studied graphic design in college. Melissa has worked on several big films such as Alice through the looking glass, godzilla, captain america: the winter soldier and lots more. Currently she resides in vancouver and is a teacher at vancouver film school. She as well works in the industry doing compositing.
Questions:
1.What was the most challenging film you worked on ? 
Answer: They are all challenging in some way.
2. What is your most proudest work? 
Answer: Being a supervisor.
3. When learning about compositing what are some of the first things you should learn? 
Answer: Learn about keying, channels, tracking, Rotoscoping.

Workshop: 7 - Lawrence Levy
Lawrence Levy is the former Chief financial officer (CFO) of pixar as well as the Cheif executive officer (CEO) for a short time. He graduated from harvard with a degree in law. He moved to silicon valley in 1980. Lawrence started working at pixar in 1994 because steve jobs phoned Lawrence and asked him if he would work for pixar and with himself. He worked at pixar for 12 years from 1994 to 2006. Lawrence left pixar and started the juniper foundation. He started teaching people meditation and has an interest in eastern philosophy such as buddhism. Currently he lives in Palo Alto California. 
Questions:
1.Have their been red flags in movies that showed you they wouldn't work out? 
Answer: Yes, because the people who create the story show the different parts of it to the other groups in the company that haven't seen it and give feedback on what looks like will and won't work out.
2.How did you handle all the pressure of your job? 
Answer: I used meditation to relax myself when their was a lot of pressure on me.
