PORTERS - HONDURAS
After 3 years of testing underwater photography, I have finally succeeded in taking decent pictures half under water and half outside. I wanted the separation line between water and sky to be as sharp as possible : this means that I needed lots of light to be able to use a small aperture : f11 in that case to get a large sharpness area. Also, I needed some distance between my lense and the glass of my underwater case. The use of a dome was essential.
I shot those pictures with the Sony Alpha7r equipped with a Laowa 15mm/f2 lens. I was using a Meikon underwater housing wich I modified with the GoPro Dome mounted with silicon on a toilet flange.
These photos were shot in December 2017 in Honduras near the Barbereta Island showing Hondureans carrying goods.
