I returned from a shopping excursion to find this lizard, at our front door,  attempting to find a way into the house.
I guess I am not the only thing feeling the heat of summer. When I poured water on it to try and move it on, it lapped some of the water up.
We have avoided putting any water at ground level because we live quite close to bushland and have some concerns that we might attract snakes.
There have been two brown snakes, that we sighted, quite close to the house. A reptile handler remove one of the snakes from under our hot water service.
The other one was on the front verandah and took off down the side of the house to disappear forever.
