Dance and Martial Arts (DAMA) Hall
This project was looking for a community center that focused on a Dance and Martial Arts Hall that would provide a space for people of all age groups in an existing playground space used by an elementary school. Over the course of the project the goal of the project was to maintain the ability for the children to play in the area while also servicing the neighborhood. The building's concept is based around the forms and positions found in dance and martial arts, with the slopes and rises reflecting the arm lifts and kicks of the respective art forms.
