3d paper ball
The motif on the ball is inspired by a traditional Greek embroidery from Epirus dating from the 18th-19th century, belonging to the Benaki Museum collections. Through a process that includes the removal of colors, the change of scale and the focusing on details that depict nature scenes and creatures both existing and imaginary, a post-modern image emerges.
Our team creates patterns and characters inspired mostly by Greek tradition. The aim is to revive folk art, redefine its visual context and integrate it into everyday life. The red thread has been produced in the Mentis center for the preservation of traditional textile techniques.
