Mobile App "Tracker"

A mobile app that helps students stay organized and stress-free.

Tracker is a mobile app that uses multiple lists and resources to help keep students on track during the school year. The app allows you to customize your agenda with daily, weekly and monthly planners that focus around your needs.

Strategy

As I was trying to come up with an idea for my mobile app design I thought of what I would enjoy using and find benefits my life. As a student I have realized that stress has become a huge aspect of our lives and it can become very hard to deal with at times. I personally deal with stress on a daily basis like many others do. So, I decided to use my own strategies and tactics to create an effective app for others like me.

The overall app focuses on four aspects of tracking - daily, weekly, monthly, and budgeting planners. To break down why I made these decisions here are some examples. I personally enjoy planning out what my day will consist of in order to stay focused and on track. With that said I also prefer to create a weekly & monthly planner to then track what I have completed by the end of the week and month. The monthly tracker is used mostly for due dates, future plans such as concerts, work schedules etc.

Design Elements

Throughout the design process I wanted to choose colours and fonts that were calm and effective. I felt that multiple shades of blue can help ease stress when making reminders. I often find with the reminders app on the iPhone I put off my tasks due to the dull colours and alerts. I also used very clean fonts throughout the screens to make reading easier.

This app can help many students like myself who find that making multiple lists for various reasons helps make planning and finishing tasks much easier. While this may not work for some it is a step in the right direction for mobile calenders and lists.
