Activity 1:
1 Subject in 10 Angles
Shots and Compositions
TYPES OF SHOT :)
1) The Rule of Thirds~ It is the intersection of 2 horizontal and vertical lines and if an object or person is shot while they are on the intersects it tends to be a lot comfortable and pleasing.
2) Extreme Close Up (ECU)~ An extreme and intense close up take. This shows great detail of the object of part of the face. This can let the audience know/predict the objects may be important for later on
3) Close Up (CU)~ A close up is a zoomed in view of an object. Shows the object largly. It is used for great dramatic impact
4) Medium Close Up (MCU)~ A shot filmed the chest above
5) Mid Shot (MS)~ A shot filmed above the waist and a bit above the head. This reduces the significance of the background
6) Full Shot (FS)~ Shows the whole human subject from head to toe and less background view.
7) Wide Shot (WS)~ It is similar to a full shot but it shows the entire body of the person AND  more of tthe background
8) Extreme Long Shot/ Establishing Shot (ES)Mainly provides background information and shows the main object in a very small detail compared to the background.
9) Two-Shot (TS)~ It is a camera shot that shows typically 2 people not neccesarily next to each other just is the same frame
10) Point of View (POV)~ We view what the object or characters eyes view of the scene
11) Over the Shoulder (OTS)~ The camera view is of that of a human shoulder.
12) Eye Level~ The same kind view we have on the world
13) High Angle~ The camera is higher and is angled downwards directed to the top of the object or preson. Makes the audience view the person or object as something weak or vulnerable.
14) Low Angle~ The camera is near the floor (positioned low) and is angled upwards. Makes the audience view the person or object as something powerful or strong.
15) Undershot~ It is when the camera is positioned below the eye level. We view what the object or person sees upwards.
16) Overhead~ Is when the camera is straight down also known as an EXTREME HIGH ANGLE
17) Dutch tilt~ The shot is tilted and not viewed straight, it tries to show that something weird or strange is happening

Activity 2:

Editing a Mood
The mood I have chosen to interpret is anxiety by expressing the actions it creates for me are like suffocating, out of breath, lost, confused. When I have sudden anxiety over any subject I always almost lose myself entirely I feel lost and confused I try to guide back to the right direction and right choices, but it never goes in the direction I want making me feel suffocated because I fall deeper into the anxiety black hole. I cannot think rationally like my logical thought and emotions are thrown out the windows and forgotten. I can only see the problem like a light single light in a dark room. I want to add aspects of how hard it is to get out of being trapped when you’re trapped because stress is something you created for yourself. I want to show some aspects of enclosed spaces, bars, doors because that will really capture the essence of suffocating. I perhaps may show a lot of open spaces and walking to incorrect directions. The contrast with the open space and closed space can also help with the confused aspect to the mood. I want to show a lot of misdirection’s, turning, and running to represent myself struggling to express. The audio I might choose to use are single sound effects expressing how I can only think of that one thing worrying me.
SEQUENCE BAR :)
I feel that I represented anxiety the way I wanted to but I am not sure if by watching this the audience can get the total mood by watching it the first time. I feel that it may have given some other moods because of certain things I didn’t focus much on. So starting with the positives I think I succeded in adding the main ideas that I wanted like being suffocated and trapped and lost because I added the cabin and locks and a forest. I especially liked the last clip where I did this cool trick with the phone where I moved forward while changing the zoom it really added to the affect of being trapped. So I did change the colour of my footages in the very first clip. I made the colour fade from saturated to unstaturated to give the effect of a big change happening almost like removing the life out of you which is like how anxiety behaves. I did not choose any music but I added sound effects. The over all sound effects matched like I had hoped I needed the heart beats showcasing panic and I needed the suffocating and almost drowning person. There was one clip I didn’t like because the audio got messed up because the voice of my sibling could be heard in the back doing math. I decided to do quick cuts because I wanted that feeling of how anxiety comes by and attacks you out of nowhere. The random flashes I felt like it added to the feeling of when you panic its kind of a fast action. If I were to do this again I would change the audio where the background noise can be heard.I would maybe also have changed the transition for the heart beats to the drowning sounds because it didn’t feel that fluent but it also kind of worked since anxiety doesn’t have to be fluent, but the next time I do this I want to compare the 2 options and see if it should be a bit more fluid and connected so it didn’t feel like I moved on from the fast heart beat completely or keep it as it is.  I would also remove some clips that I felt didn’t need to be there like one where the camera was hand held and swirling it went on for too long and it felt like it was emphasized more than it should. I feel that if I shortened that clip I could have added this other clip that would have been more important which showcases me running fast and looking around and getting lost. I did enjoy this exercise because it was interesting I was really trying to capture one mood and I really felt like the real deal. I was checking on angles and I tried to keep the shots steady which was actually fun because the end result looked great in my opinion. I also got to go outside and film which was rare because I don’t go outside. The process of taking the shots were fun because I was walking around the park looking for great shots and squatting and laying on the ground. One of the clips involved going inbetween 5 trees and squatting from under and filming to make it look like a forest and I definitly was seen by many of my neighbours. I also probably looked crazy because I was running around and screaming like someone was chasing me but noone was with me when I was filming. I had so much fun filming and finding the perfect audios and I think the video came out great in the end and I’m proud.
