UBIQUO - Magic Leap

BRIEF: Conquer the 4TH dimension: TIME.

After decades of struggle we're finally reconquiring one of the most valuable things that life has to offer: TIME.
Customer's demand is changing, they want to be driven, they don't want to spend hours in traffic yelling at people. The market needs a quick answer to the problem. A fully autonomous car.

- Revolutionary exterior architecture
- Revolutionary interior / use of space / experience
- No steering wheel or pedals
- Revolutionary user interface.

SOP in 2049 / MARKET in 2051.

What's will replace the good vibes of driving?

UBIQUO: a person who is in different places at the same time. What about the time a car is not used? An autonomous car what can do in the meanwhile we are sleeping or working in the office?
I thought that with the help of AI this kind of really personal vehicle could go around the city and most of all out of the city to collect EXPERIENCES, places, sound, images, touch,..

IMAGO: a latin word that means "dream". The experiences the vehicle collected when I'm not using it, will be transmitted during the experience of the interior. From psycology's studies the moment we are dreaming is the one time is passing faster, so the interior of this vehicle is a kind of dreamlike room. Inside the vehicle you will "dream" all the experiences the car did, throught the transmission of all the 5 senses.

OMNIA: a latin word that means "every one". Is the huge organism of the future, composed by humans, A.I., plants, animals, laptop, everything. Omnia is the compenetration of things between technologic and real world, where every single elements still have it's own importance. The "throwaway" moral of changing everything when gets old, will be replaced from a a new idea, the more things will stay with you the more the will acquire a personal value.
At the beginning I though about a kind of big sensible wheel that can comunicate with the external world collecting all the datas. After I found out that the biggest opportunity in terms of "changing the architecture of the car" is the fact that the car should not stay ON the wheels to permit the visibility, but can also stay BETWEEN the wheels.
- Dreamlike and fetal position.
- Idea of connections.
- Core of exterior design: the communications between wheels (so the external world) and the centre of the vehicle (so the internal world).
Opening in order to enter and lie down as on the bed.
Interior when the pod is open. There is a transparent and memory foam gel with white dots. With the use of Grasshopper connected this dots at the curvature of the surfaces of the interior, in order to have bigger dots when curvature is increasing. This dots are the protagonists of the interior experience, since that they are able to transmit you light electro impulses to transmit the touch.
A.I. interface and alter ego. Bright interior.
Dreamlike interior, kind of illusionistic, not so confortable, a little bit disquieting as the entering in a new world and new dimension.
OMNIA. This is strictly bounded with the concept of omnia. The vehicle will grow with you, as your neurons learning things of the world will create connections between each others reinforcing your braing, so the exterior will create connections more and more the vehicle make experiences. This vehicle will become your personal experiences memory, this is why the "throwaway" moral will change, more we will use it more it will learn and grow with you, more it will learn more you learn and make experiences.
The wheels are growing too as an expansion of knowledge from the vehicle/user to the real world.
An example of the car going through the nature to collects sensations, emotions, sounds, images, cold or hot air, in order to transmit all to you and make you experience this place. After you will decide if during your free weekend ask to the car to bring you in that place because you like it, or to stay home and tell to the vehicle to go around all the weekend and collect new experiences.
