Meech are Europe’s largest manufacturer and supplier of electrostatic detection and control equipment, and in 2006, I landed my first job - redesigning their 2 flagship products.

Established in 1907, Meech have always been regarded as the authority on all things static. They held a very strong market position up until the mid 2000s when they were threatened by cheaper competition from the Far East. The knowledge and engineering at Meech was superior, but to look at the products, you wouldn’t have thought so.

I was tasked with redesigning the 983: Handheld Static Detector and the 977: Pulsed DC Controller - and getting Meech back to the number one spot. The intuitive new products are slick, work reliably in the toughest conditions and for the first time, look like they belong to the brand.
