Esta fue mi propuesta para el proyecto final del Posgrado de Diseño gráfico y digital en IED Madrid. Se trata de diseñar la imagen para un supuesto álbum de la cantante estadounidense Cat Power.
Uso la tipografía Suisse International, bastante sencilla y de palo seco en consonancia con las tipografías usadas por Cat Power a lo largo de su discografía. Completo el diseño con una fotografía de Nan Goldin de un paisaje de NY. Ambas artistas desarrollan la mayor parte de su obra en dicha ciudad y su obra está ligada a la escena indie de las últimas décadas del siglo XX.
This was my proposal for the final project during my post-grad at IED Madrid. It involved designing a potential album art for American singer Cat Power.
I used the Suisse International Typography, it's simple and sans-serif, which relates to typographies used by Cat Power during her career. I completed the design with Nan Golding's photo of a NY landscape. Both of them develop their work there and are related to the indie scene of the 20th century's last decades.
