Pause' Motion Response is about inviting the best up-and-coming motion artists and let them play with the theme.

Journey = Destination

We couldn't resist doing it in VR

‘DREAM 212’ is a short virtual journey to the dreamworld.

Experiment ‘DREAM 212’ marked the first successful run of Dreaminator 3000, a machine that extracts dreams to C4D and renders them in amazing stereoscopic 3D virtual reality with Octane.

Our team was able to record over a minute of 4K 360° material using EPDC (equirectangular projection dream capture) technology. This is the first time audience can experience the virtual dream in crystal clear hi-res VR.

Virtual reality is about experiencing the impossible. Like literally stepping inside the 3D animation. It opens up so many possibilities for the world of entertainment.

PROCESS
Dream 212 actually originated from the yet unpublished piece we made about 3 years ago. We wanted to return to this colorful, graphic world. Where every couple moments, the smooth, uncut camera motion unveils a new poster-like scene. And bring it to VR.

Rendering the same animation as a 360 one never works. You can look around, but that’s it. The original scene was designed so you can only see the scene in front of you and was framed rigorously. After a lot of world building, changes and experiments we started to feel like we’re there.

L.A. BILLBOARDS
Pause Fest threw us on the motion billboards in freakin’ Los Angeles! Next to LAX airport and the beach and the ocean and covered in palm trees! How cool is that? <3 <3 <3
