An experienced emergency medical technician and successful business owner, Gary Reis serves as owner and operator of Med Tech, an ambulance service that services the Pawtucket, Rhode Island, area. In addition to his everyday role at Med Tech, Gary Reis is one of the founding members of the Rhode Island Ambulance Association and also runs Access Ambulance Service. 

At Access Ambulance, making sure that staff are adequately educated and current on all their credentials is a priority. Each employee that works for the company wears a photo identification badge at all times that indicates the licenses and certifications that person carries. The company also makes use of a digital database that works hand-in-hand with its dispatch systems that will not permit a responder to be assigned to a call if his or her credentials are not current. Through this, Access Ambulance not only ensures that patients are only receiving care from credentialed staff, it also encourages personnel to be diligent in renewing their certifications in a timely manner.
