::Use for daily inspiration & feel free to recreate::

My style is influenced by people and environments of different cultures. Outfits are made by recycling existing pieces. I use fashion to create [art]. Not the art of design but the art of creativity and aesthetic. I push the boundaries of what's "right" and create something timeless and aesthetically pleasing. The way I look at a contemporary art piece is the way I look at my fits. I like to rework existing pieces that I own to show how inexpensive style can be. I am redefining existing vintage and recreating it to suit modern day. My style exemplifies how to combine patterns/prints/textures/ that wouldn't be worn together but when executed well, become [art].

Vintage Levi Jeans/Aleali May x Jumpman Tee/Aleali May x Jordan Ones
Custom one of one tee that I came up on randomly walking downtown and stopped to grab a free T for voters. My shoes are Nike SB Gato x SUPREME in baby blue.
My bomber jacket is a vintage Champion jacket that I scooped up at Goodwill. I got super excited when the guy trying it on before me set it back on the rack- I was feet away to scoop it up!
CULTURE via homies
Didn't know what to wear to the first day of ComplexCon and was pouting because I wanted something fresh but didn't have the money to spend on it..so this outfit happened because you can't ever go wrong with a jersey.
Striped COMME des GARCONS long sleeve tee.
Pants thrifted and hoody from KITH Ny. I love an even balance between vintage and high end street wear.
Man my dad handed down a few great pieces and this camo shirt is definitely my favorite.
These Palace x Adidas sweats are my favorite. I bought them at Belmont Army in Chicago when the first floor turned into a consignment shop.
Noah pocket tee from my new favorite store in LA- Dover Street Market. If you haven't yet and you are in LA make sure you go downtown and peep DSM new location. Pants thrifted.
The design on this top drew my attention to it. I was specifically in Denver thrifting in mind that I wanted patterned shirts. I was so happy when I discovered this and one other top because it was just what I was looking for.
At ComplexCon this year 1800 Tequila invited Modern Notoriety to their booth along with customizing a denim jacket.
You also can never go wrong with a pair of camo pants. They paired up nicely with my long sleeve Stussy long sleeve that I bought at a thrift store in Chicago. If I could wear Vans every day I would, and I normally do.
I normally don't follow trends but these sunglasses are so fly and I found them at Ragstock in Chicago for $7.
Yes I am using a shoe string as a belt. I didn't have a belt to match my burnt yellow turtleneck and the shoe string made my outfit feel more inovated.
I am encouraging all denim on denim looks! Let's bring back the simplicity and elegance of a Canadian Tuxedo :)
My whole fit was found on Fairfax. Shoes from SUPREME, shirt from The Hundreds, pants from Goodwill. The blue and green plaid pants added texture to this outfit which could have easily just been wore with a pair of denim.
I am not going to lie most of my outfits are unisex and inspired first by men. I love the simplicity of a pair of oversized shorts and an oversized t.
Hoodie by Stone Island found at KITH, New York.
I intentionally bought these vintage Levi Jean's in hopes to cut them into shorts. After wearing them as pants with a few outfits I don't think I can cut them, the fit was too perfect with the perfect amount of bagginess.
I am wearing a sheer body suit from AKIRA Chicago as well as AG jeans and a vintage cropped jacket.( The boots were added to dress it up)
Although I live in Los Angeles, I try and find any time where I can layer up my outfits. Part of me is paying homage to Chicago and how cold it regularly is.
When I tell you I put my outfits together in the spur of the moment I PUT MY OUTFITS TOGETHER IN THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT. I love my Aleali Jordan's and it has been so easy for me to pair them with so many outfits.
I became really crafty with what looks like a skirt- which is indeed a romper that I tied into a layering skirt.
My whole outfit was found at a thrift store. I love the black shorts I have on because they are a wide leg and give my outfit more volume.
When you change the default color of this to black and white it really changes the mood of the photo.
I am wearing a simple T from Uniqlo that has a military neck line. The pants are Alexander Wang and a piece I found on sale at Nordstrom Rack.
I never thought I would ever wear an AF1 until 2017, the year of the AF1. I then realized AF1 was one of my favorite Nike shoes solely based on the comfort level.
This look involves four layers of being creative. The cropped Nike top was an exclusive collection by Sami Miro Vintage.
Comfortability is very important in my every day style. This is simply a day to day outfit that I threw on to be comfortable.
I distressed this pair of denim myself. I normally don't cuff my pants but in this instinct cuffing my pants gave my look a more summer vibe.
Sitting poolside in Los Angeles in a Topshop one piece suit covered with diy denim shorts.
On this day it reached 111 degrees in East Hollywood. The only reason this outfit came together was because I needed something light!
I jumped the gun on wearing these shorts as I am still working on distressing them, but the idea behind them is making in between denim that were a longer short.
I love the old school 90's vibe behind this jacket. This jacket can be found at Forever 21.
This shirt was a special release at Chicago's RSVP boutique. [OFF WHITE x RSVP] I was living in LA at the time and made my boyfriend go wait in line for 2 hours in the cold for this $40 Tee, oops.
I spotted this court while wandering around San Fransisco's Hayes Street. I had to stop and take a picture because the neighborhood parks put me back in New York City.
This turtle neck is so perfect even in Southern California. I love layering this sweater to give the look more depth and let the colors be exposed vibrantly.
Ya'll are going to be so mad when I tell you I bought these pants for $1.00. Yes, One. Single. Dollar.
I bought this simple gray t-shirt at Uniqlo in NY and the NYC vintage jersey at Ragstock in Chicago. The reason I bought the gray t-shirt was because I loved the cut and higher neckline which is exclusively offered at Uniqlo.

T by Guess x ASAP/ Pants by Aloha via Darius Osario/ Sneakers are a one of one I customized during AF1 event in Los Angeles.
I made these shorts while I was in high school. I started going thrift shopping and buying men's pants and then customizing them to shorts.
Who said stripes and plaid couldn't be rocked? My favorite thing about this fit is that it breaks the rules of wearing different patterns together, instead it makes for a great aesthetic.
During our AF1 Customization event I was able to create lace locks that said "OFF" on one and "LACE" on the other.
This is me living through one of my favorite Disney channel characters- Kim Possible haha. But seriously this one of a kind Nike vintage T is by Sami Miro and you can never go wrong with a cargo pant.
My oversized cropped button up is one of my favorites. It is a dark denim with a Comme Des Garcon pin I added on myself. I love bringing out patterns and textures with my outfits hence why I try and incorporate stripes with denim.
I am in LOVE with these Melody Ahsani shorts I got on Fairfax for $10!! Sunglasses sold exclusively at Los Angeles Fashion District for $8!
LooksByLace is to inspire you and how you style yourself on a daily basis. LooksByLace is really just my passion for creating something new every time I wear it because I never had much and had to work with what I had.
I wish I could show you the colors in this fit. The primary colors are used parallel to the textures of stripes and jersey mesh. Honestly, I just like to pair materials or patterns that normally wouldn't be warn together and make them look super dope aesthetically.
Who would have thought a hockey jersey could be so fashionable? I love the balance between the Ricardo Tisci AF1 and the jersey.
Comme Des Garcon is one of the only luxury brands that can push the same sneaker out for multiple years without changing it.
I've been wanting these sneakers since I peeped them in 06'. I can get fits off with any outfit.
The SW 1/97 Air Max is one of my favorite sneaker releases this year. Although I missed out on the free pairs Sean handed out months ago, I'm glad I was given the second chance to purchase them on Air Max Day 2018.
All I really do is reuse and recycle the small collection of clothes I have to recreate looks. #looksbylace
I found this dope jacket at the Fairfax Farmer's Market. I loved the concept of the side pocket and favor clothing that is versatile.
"We are all powered by the sun"-Cactus Plant Flea Market. You probably have never seen these Vans. They are a collaboration Vans did two years ago with Saint Alfreds-Chicago. They came in three different color ways. I chose green.
I love these pants so much. I found them at the Rose Bowl thrift in Pasadena, CA. They were one of ones and fit my body perfect and to top it off only $10! The Rose Bowl happens every second Sunday of the month and is one of the biggest thrift markets I've seen.
I love mixing fashion and street. This picture portrays my vision on the concept.
I'm really into wearing asymmetrical patterns that the normal human wouldn't choose to wear together. This is the art of fashion and styling.
This "skirt" was made from a romper that I styled into a skirt. I have to wrap the straps around twice and tie a bow in the back to hold it all down.
My inspiration for this look came from an LA editorial that incorporated shoe laces into high-end luxury designs.
I customized these Mid AF1's. I removed the leather swoosh from both the inside and outside of the shoe and then reattached different textured swooshes that faced differently. I wanted my sneakers to look like something Nike's never made.
I bought this Stone Island hoody at KITH NY and threw it on the same day. I wish I had all the money in the world to.collect Stone Island hoody's.
These Nike cropped pants are amazing. They are made from the same material as a wetsuit- neoprene, and have the ultimate amount of stretch.
AF1's I customized at ComplexCon 2017. Left Shoe: LA  Right Shoe: CE
Carrots by Anwar Carrots x The Hundreds:: Los Angeles, California.
Pants by Alexander Wang thrifted from Nordstrom rack. These pants can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
This was the first time I visited Washington DC in Winter of 2016 and of course I had to bring the streetwear culture to the city.
This OFF White "dress" is actually a men's long sleeve T. I had this vision in only wearing it as a dress.
This summer in Los Angeles I invested in good quality denim. These black jeans are by AG and I have yet to get them tailored.
T-shirt by Off-White and Midnight Studios, two emerging designers in the streetwear culture.
Ricardo Tisci's 2017 full collaboration with Nike.
I found this Scottie Pippen Bulls jersey at a thrift store in Indiana. It was during this jersey purchase that I decided to collect vintage jerseys.
I wanted to be cozy at ComplexCon 2017 so I threw on an over-sized t-shirt, loose pants, and my Jordan Retro 1's.
This fit contrasts really well with a yellow top and camo bottoms. The shirt is NikeLab and the pants are Proenza Schouler.
Ricardo Tisci's collection with Nike late 2017 included amazing quality, attention to detail, and a curation of great ideas.
KAWS x Uniqlo killed this Snoopy collab. Not only is the design fire, but this cost me $20 at retail price.
"OFF" "LACE"
Camoflauge pants are very popular in Southern California and even bigger worldwide. If you do not already own a pair, they are always selling them at multiple different vendors at the flea market every Sunday at FairFax High School.
Aleali May inspired this shot. Her sneaker collab with Jordan was epic for the female sneaker community.
I don't dress up a lot and even when I do I always have to throw in my tom girl vibe and rock a pair of kicks.
Never thought I would be wearing Blazer Low's until I moved to LA. These are so fire on feet and can be worn with anything.
Jacket by J.W. Anderson x Uniqlo collab. He killed the aesthetic and colors to this jacket.
Here I turned a streetwear look into a more business casual look with still a flare of street wear with my AF1's.
These pants are flattering on any body type and really add some personality to an outfit.
I thrifted this denim jacket in San Diego. I loved the cropped and over-sized fit.
'Force is Female' SF AF1 mid in pink suede. This Force Is Female campaign was another great message that gravitated country wide.
These Joes Jeans surprisingly fit me perfect when I thrifted them in LA. The distressed detailing really makes them unique.
It is perfectly okay for females to get fashion influence from men. Kanye West's Yeezy Season influenced this outfit. It's not the most feminine clothing pieces but you can put your own female touch to it.
One of my favorite artists, Murakami, killed his exhibition at Chicago's MCA so you know I had to cop the T.
Fun Fact. These maroon and camo Roshe's were one of my first Nike sneakers I purchased. I was so tight on the color I bought another pair in the same color!
This collection is Nike's ACG-All Conditioned Gear now available at the Nordstrom x Nike boutique. The pants were my favorite piece of this collection because of the perfect tailored fit and the front zipper option.
