SWIRL JAAL: Making a Jaal or floral spray patters on Indian Textiles is an age old tradition followed by the artisans of different art domains, whether it is architecture,mural paintings, stone carving, wall art, pottery,weaving, embroidery, hand painting . Using dupion as the ground surface, i have tried creating a swirl Jaal floral spray in different colour ways by using a beautiful blend of machine and hand embroidery, embellished with metal sequins and "katdana"(Japanese swarovski) and binded with couching technique using a metal coated thread.
