Background
As a result of poor recycling in the past, natural resources became rare. In 2050, humans finally developed a better and more efficient recycling technique.  Everything around people made with recycled materials–clothes, furniture, buildings and even food. People created healthy and edible plastics to feed animals. Some of the animal meats are directly made with this kind of plastic. Organically grown plants and vegetables that were grown in the past, were now kept within a secured glass box in museums. Whereas, grocery stores, now, only stored and sold foods made with recycled materials.

A Recycled Dinner
I woke up in the morning, folded my quilt, which was made with recycled plastic and cotton. I put on clothes made with the same quilt material. After which, I poured some hot water in my plastic cup. The cup had a strong plastic smell coming off of it, I waited until the water cooled to drink it. There was no food in my fridge, so I decided to go shopping. I walked to the market, saw some trees and plants with wired color. Roads and cities were built on landfills and everyone was wearing a plastic mask to prevent breathing in the horrible air. I walked fast avoid exposure to the outside air. Some extremely pretty flowers and trees were set in front of the market. I took a plastic basket and went into the meat area first. The beef steak looked so fresh but it was incredibly cheap. The label on the beef said it was made with edible recycled plastic and that it was healthy. I put it in my basket and walked over to the main food area. I got noodles, of course made with the same recycled material and rice, too. After that, I hung out at the snack area and tried to find some spicy snacks. Lots of snacks were packed with recycled paper, and I could clearly see a “100% Recycle Food” logo on the bag. When I arrived at the fruits and vegetable area, I was so surprised that the market had Type A plastic fruits. Farmers used the highest quality plastic to make these fruit, which meant that it was really healthy. All of the apples were identical in color, size and texture. Unfortunately, this was a little out of my budget. When I saw the big word “sale” on that Type A plastic apple, I was so excited and decided to buy them. I finally finished shopping, paid for the food and got a recycled paper receipt.
