A table for my aunt Rosanna

Okumé plywood and glass, 165 x 165 x 75 cm.

Tables are structures, but we never see them as such, i just wanted to design a table like a scale model of a canopy. Pillars and cantilevers, instead of planks, repeating them into the structure as much as i can (8 different pieces used to build a set of 24).

This roof has no foundation, to ensure balance i stabilized it by the weight of glass. 

The table's building system is an evolution of the techniques developed for the Plug & Stay furniture series, that we (Silvia and me) have developed in the last 4 years.
