    This is my design concept for SendGrid's homepage. When starting this project, I decided to focus on a few key areas; immersive experiences, bold typography and vivid colors. 
In order to create a more immersive experience, I decided to introduce a full-screen illustration on the SendGrid homepage. Full-screen images have been shown to boost user engagement in numerous ways. Not only do they make your website look great on all devices, their greatest strength is their interaction with the user. A single, large image conveys your brands quality and tells your story in a brief, clear and engaging way. As the old saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. To further compliment the main graphic, I also introduced new font families as well as a secondary color. Colors, shapes, textures and fonts all create emotional reactions on us as humans. The main focus here was to not only attract the users attention but also to engage the user to make quick decisions. When there's a balance between functionality and emotion, the two amplify each other and the result is really amazing. Since users tend to engage more with enriched digital content, my end goal was to create an immersive, interactive experience that engages customers and creates emotion. This experience creates a powerful and lasting memory and is effective in inspiring action in the present as well as the future. Read Less
