Architecture Soviétique: Typographie en Construction

Editorial
InDesign
The architectural movement born after the Russian revolution is particular and unique in the concepts developed as well as in the shapes and the visuals produced. The propositions of the avant-garde’s architects from the 1920’s reflect the notion of utopia and reality that characterizes creation in Soviet Union.
In this work which mixes photography and type design, I decided to confront the image I had about it through history books with reality. By focusing on both the buildings of the Soviet’s avant-garde, on the context in which they belonged to as well as the heritage they left behind, I wanted after travelling to Moscow to give a personal look at the situation in the Russian capital. This project was my graduation project at HEAD – Genève (Geneva School of Art and Design) in Visual Communication.
