The following comic was the preliminary comic I did to practice the style. I made it a year before the final comic above.
In 2013, I started college. These were done during psychology during a semester. I definitely liked the style of a white and black fill with colored lines. So I continued with that.
In 2012, I wrote the story down concretely, and did these two pieces (top and bottom) for illustrations. Still experimenting with style.
Another digital piece, this one in a different style. I was having a hard time replicating what I imagined in my head. So I continued to experiment.
This was the first digital version. Still playing with color schemes. A warm and cool contrast between characters.
Shortly after, I did this piece as a wax resist. I started playing with color schemes.
This was the first iteration of this project, done with sharpies on cardstock, in 2009.
This is the oldest concept art I have for the main character, from 2007. A lot has changed since then.
