Digital images, sketches, and acrylic paintings

 - This is a very impulsive piece of work. After looking at a panorama I made of the market of Groningen, I was inspired to transform it into a post-apocalyptic scene. I imagined some sort of explosion had gone of, and many years later, plants began to overrun the surrounding buildings. The city hall would have been abandoned. In reality, it was quite a busy day, which required some people and vehicle removal.
- A place I used visit a lot as a child. I wanted to capture the rough but also beautiful character of the forest.
- A book cover for Social studies/psychology. Trying out a different art style, as I often try to do; pop-art.
- a background for my twitter account. I needed to make something colourful and dynamic to reflect the variety of my posts.
- My design was chosen as the cover for the booklet of our school trip to Berlin.
- The assignment was to recreate (loosely) a classic dutch painting (background left) of winter scenery. Even with limited time, I managed to get a result I was satisfied with. It was graded an 8.5 on a scale of 10.
