I had the honor of working with Dick Van Patten and his son Jimmy for several years. The floats for the Rose Parade are always so much fun, with dogs performing and even winning Guinness World Records. The ads reflected the whimsical aspect and approach that Dick Van Patten loved.
Themes for the floats included skateboarding dogs, Snowboarding dogs, surfing dogs, skim boarding and dock diving dogs. In 2012, Tillman was made an honorary U.S. Marine and was part of the commemorative Rose Parade float honoring the Military working dogs monument.
