From the beginning I was looking for an animation based on "loop".I'm a fan of the new wave of retro music that is shaking the panorama of electronic music and I thought it could be a good opportunity to put this kind of music and aesthetics together in a small animation.
The idea was that the protagonist of the animation was a kind of statue or bust. I did it with cinema 4d and with some displacement settings.
The second step was to import the cinema 4D file into Adobe After Effects CC.
The export was in "multi-passes" in different files to highlight the level of detail: diffuse, ambient occlusion, depth, displacement...
We perform triangular animations, we add effects of light, glow, fog, and others to give the right look. Here is the end result.
