Aimed to attract the people to the riverside for the pleasure of listening to the gentle sound of water, this wooden structure reaching above the water offered a quiet and friendly space for relaxation, and it also tried to create a relationship between the park itself and the river. The great window of the pavilion was made of a translucent material, which did not only guide the visitors eye to the hole on the floor where they could see the water, but it also served as a surface on which the light from streetlamps or from the headlights of passing cars would reflect in a spectacular fashion. The stairs on which one could approach this construction, doubled by some simple wooden platforms also served as the seating resembling a small outdoor amphitheater.
