lightride was an experimental project in which we tried to paint temporary pictures with light of individual audio signatures of certain places. in this case the little laser robot painted the soundscape of an berlin underground ride of line U8 on a mesh fabric that was impregnated with fluorescent color. the laser robot was operated with arduino and processing. origin of the idea was a class at the fachhoschule potsdam curated by prof. volker von kardoff and prof. alexandra martini.
