Completed for Tensile Membrane Structures Class under the supervision of Professor Mauricio Soto Rubio, this skate park site and tensile structure was designed to further understand the capabilities of membrane structures.

The skate park was designed as an active connection through an open space on the University of Calgary Campus. This connection was intended to accommodate pedestrian traffic while providing a space for recreation. The design of the structure is inspired by the curved features of the skate park and is intended to provide shade and shelter without impeding the flows of movement through and around the site.
