I was trying to experiment with paint on water and I decided to add ice too. I used an old tub of ice cream as a basin for the water and took it out side for natural light. The paint didn't work and only clouded the water and floated to the bottom.  I decided to try some old nail varnish which was a bit past its prime and it worked so well.

The sun was out too which helped reflect the colours really well. I edited the photo in Photoshop to a lighter blue and it is one of my favourite projects. I will warm you it is very messy to clean up, I used an old paint brush to get it out.
