Techneco is a Kelowna, BC based IT and environmental consulting firm consisting of Allison Brown and Phil Thomson. With Phil on the IT side and Allison on the environmental side, their logo was to reflect their approach unique approach to business by merging symbols representing their skills and backgrounds.
First digital concept in black and white.
Second round, simply a refinement of the first concept. Started to add colour in.
By combining all caps, sans-serif type that is strong, but still soft and rounded, authority is established without feeling authoritative. The main tree symbol evokes a feeling of ecoconsciousness, while the semi-circle nestled neatly below the trunk creates the common power symbol that we've all come to expect on our electronics.
