First Federal Bank of KC Website Design

WEBSITE DESIGN

First Federal Bank of Kansas City is a bank that is focused on helping people achieve a better state of financial well-being. Their previous site did not help them tell this story and was not up to modern standards. It was non-responsive and content was convoluted. By December 2017, Will & Grail launched a fully redesigned website that was modern, ADA compliant, and fully responsive.

ICON SET

Each icon in the set was designed within a 100-pixel grid. For consistency within the icons, I designed them with a line weight of 4 points and rounded corners and end caps. The initial icon set contained 53 icons which are utilized across First Federal Bank’s website. At the developer’s request, I converted the icon set into a font set. To do so, I used a site called IcoMoon to create the font and make it exportable.
PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE

There was no budget to do a photoshoot for the photography. All the photography was pulled from Shutterstock. While pulling photos for the site, we followed certain rules we set in place to create consistency of the photos throughout the site. First Federal’s slogan is “Better. Together.” and we wanted that to reflect in the photography by choosing people who were enjoying their life. This was intended to show that they felt good about their financial situation and did not have to worry about it.
