This project is inspired by two fictional characters I loved when I was a kid. Grandpa Ueli, In Heidi, lives alone on the top of a mountain and has no contact with anyone. Radley, in To Kill a Mockingbird, is a weirdo as everyone said. They both look scary and live alone, but in fact they are the kindest people. Just like those two characters, there are also some weird but lovely people I’ve met in real life who inspired me. For example, I’ve met an old neighbor, who looked indifferent but secretly prayed for me when I was sick, and a disabled boy, who, on a rainy day, held an umbrella for me without a word.
