    More latent than ardent. How many times can an event be filtered before it loses its immediate factor? This series of works investigates the viewer’s sincerity as a second-hand witness where real life events such as weddings, wars, funerals or parties are filtered through various communication channels and eventually art itself. I built my compositions as shrines, monuments of actual events, and laid at their foundation The Flower- a fake totem of validity. I document every frame within the pages of a notebook: sketches become finished works and words -graphic symbols. Like George Condo, using black and white helped me tie the bridge between the contemporary mixing of the media and the cartoon, a frowned upon weapon when it comes to depicting serious subject matter.
