This is the second challenge in Thirty Logos Challenge.
The challenge:
Small coffee shop chain The Grind ask for new logo. The Grind prides itself on natural and local ingredients. The client doesn't want any browns, but oranges, green, other earth tones. This logo will primarily be used as store sign, on menus, and on coffee cups and merchandise. The Grind logo could be text based or have an icon.They're open to using symbols that represent coffee such as the coffee bean, plant, grounds, coffee cup, etc.
The solution:
I came with design that is combination of text and icon. Since the client emphasizes natural and local ingredients in their products I decided to combine half of coffee bean, coffee leaf and old coffee grind to represent the natural flavor and locality.
