ANIMATION PROJECT: EVOLUTION

ASSIGNMENT:
MAKE AN ANIMATION ABOUT EVOLUTION

We weren't able to turn it in with the quality we wish it had. There simply wasn't enough time.

CONCEPT
We are going to animate a person (probably a guy) who is sitting in the subway. He has his headphones and is listening to music. No one really notices him. (He is sitting in the centre though.)
Slowly, as the music builds up, the boy starts moving with the music. First he's just tapping with his foot on the ground. After a while his fingers join in. Then he starts drumming on his legs. His whole body is moving along and he starts headbanging. When the chorus of the music starts, the boy stands up and dances along. He's going wild and forgets everything that's happening around him. He's one with the music. When the chorus is over he suddenly realises he's still in the subway. His head turns red and he slowly sits down. After that, the music fades out and the screen turns black.

RACHEL
I wrote down the concept and drew the storyboard. After that I animated the dance scene with a length of 22 seconds. I filled frames worth of 12 seconds with the color white. (Marit did the other 10 seconds.) I also created the intro screen that introduces the animation and shows our names. On top of that I edited the video with sound and effects.
